Let's take a bookshelf tour and talk about what I'm reading for 2020. I'm also taking part in a book buying ban starting in the first quarter of the year. Eek! Have you done a "buying ban" before?
The reason I wanted to do a bookshelf tour is that I've completely revamped my process of picking books, keeping books, and I have just found over the past few years that I just buy buy buy and not read read read. Sometimes my bookshelves can get a bit overwhelming for me, and since I'm trying to be good at decluttering my things, I wanted to share with you how I organize my bookshelves, and a special thing that I'm doing for 2020, which is a little bit scary to me.
And that is...I'm not going to be buying books for the first quarter of the year. I am going to try diligently to save my money, because I have so many books that I already need to read, and I don't need to be buying any more until I can declutter all the ones that I don't want to keep on my shelves. Then I can feel refreshed to buy new again. I also need to get through my Kindle books. I actually received some for Christmas of 2018 that I still haven't read, so I definitely need to get to those, so I'm hoping to carry this throughout the year of 2020. Wish me luck!
Let me know what is on your to-be-read shelves, or if you have reading goals for 2020. I'd love to talk about it with you. Also if you've ever done a buying ban before, let me know how you survived. I am excited to talk to you in the comments about books.
